Felicia Coleman, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, developed her passion for singing at an early age. When just a little girl, Felicia told her mother that she could sing, but her mother told her in so many words to “dream on!” However, Felicia’s aunt, the First Lady and pianist at their church, gave her the microphone and she has not put it down since. Her passion further developed and matured as she began winning talent competitions. While in St. Louis, Felicia majored in Music & Theatre. The prestigious and coveted position as lead singer in a popular band, Impact, nourished her confidence and vocal range. She has recorded several solo projects, which include a performance at the Powell Symphony Hall. Felicia’s mother now calls her daughter the “songbird!”
To further enhance and promote her music and theater career, Felicia moved to Atlanta in 1999. After auditioning, she was cast for several plays, “When Loving You is Hurting Me,” “Daddy, If You Only Knew,” “Looking For Love In All The Wrong Places,” and “Momma, I’m Your Child” to name but a few. In October 2005, she was selected to be a part of Showcase of the South sponsored by Taylord Entertainment. She currently performs every Friday evening at Cherokee Street Country Club, captivating and mesmerizing her audience with her soulful and sultry voice. Felicia knows that she was put on this Earth to be a singer and will be ministering her gift in song to the world. Her inspiration includes her daughter NE-NE (Chanita), who is by and far her biggest fan!
Felicia’s reverence has quickly gained her notoriety, as her unique style is breathtaking and easily recognizable!
Felicia has chosen to remain an independent artist. “I love creating vibrant, electrifying music!” But, I also like spending time with colleagues, creating a memorable song. I really have no preference, as every project is a unique challenge with unlimited possibilities!
